Who are we?
We are Seb and Soph, former professional yacht crew turned full-time world cruisers. We’re here to share our knowledge and passion for sailing and help you start your own sailing adventure. We’re commited to helping you every step of the way. We will make your trip safe, enjoyable and unforgettable. Not only will you gain valuable insights, but you’ll also save money by avoiding common mistakes and save time that you’ll be happier to spend snorkelling, hiking, spearfishing or just relaxing at anchor !
Four years ago, after many years of working in the sailing industry, we bought our own boat, Mama Beluga, a Beneteau 473 and left France with a 2 month old baby. Our family is growing along the way; we have now 3 kids and we arrived in French Polynesia 6 months ago.
Sebastien
Sebastien is French and Swedish, he speaks French, English and Swedish.
He has worked on boats for twenty years; as a sailing instructor in France, as a yachtmaster instructor in England, as a first mate on sailing superyachts and as a captain on private sailing yachts. He has sailed over 130,000NM.
Seb has extensive all around knowledge about sailing and navigation systems, but also mechanical repairs of engines, plumbing, hydraulic or electrical issues.
He will be your coach and your primary contact for all your questions about boat choice and preparation, navigation planning and safety on board.
Sophie
Sophie is French and American, she speaks English, French and Spanish. She’s been a chef and a mate on private boats for 6 years. She is also a trained sailing instructor who has sailed 60,000NM. Before her sailing career, she worked in the restaurant industry in New York and the Caribbean; she has a degree in restaurant and bar management.
She will be in charge of the logistics and organisation. She’ll help you with bookings, orders, agents and talking with the Spanish world.
